This post is part of my ongoing series documenting CETAP’s journey to help Bosnia and Herzegovina transition toward a circular economy.
As spring arrived, CETAP entered a pivotal phase: the move from strategy into implementation. March 2025’s Steering Committee meeting marked the start of an intensive period of activity leading into summer.
It was great to be back in Sarajevo and reconnect with committee members, this time with tangible outputs on the table. We reviewed our early findings and discussed how these translate into real-world interventions. The session allowed everyone to explore our implementation methodology in greater detail — examining where the first pilot actions would take shape and how results would be measured.
One thing that stood out was the unity of purpose among committee members. They recognise the opportunity CETAP offers to build capacity, modernise systems, and embed EU-aligned circular-economy principles into everyday practice.
We’ll now hold Steering Committee meetings every three months — an agile rhythm that ensures oversight, transparency, and ongoing dialogue. The next session, planned for June 2025, will coincide with the first tangible outcomes from the implementation phase. I’m eager to see our plans begin to materialise.
