It has been a really productive month on the End of Waste Project in Turkiye as we have been finalising the End of Waste Legislation and associated guidance for the main sectors covered by the project.
We consulted with the Turkish textile sector, on the end of waste regulation for waste textile and its guidance, at an excellent workshop in Ankara.
The event was excellent with a really good turnout from the textile sector. We received a lot of excellent feedback to the legislation and guidance from the sector delegates and we will be making updates to the drafts based on this really constructive comment.
The project team have worked hard to engage this particular sector which is an extremely important sector to the Turkish economy. The delegates were all from the sector and the quality of their comments and inputs to the project deliverables was greatly appreciated by the project team and the end recipient.
The presentations presented by Mathias Gustavson and Amanda Martval from IVL on the end of waste criteria; by Oguzhan Akinc on the regulation; by Engin Turan on the guideline and by Ozgur Avcuoglu on the implementation model and Regulatory Impact Assessment were of the highest quality and were the source of much debate amongst the delegates.
We have also all be delighted about the way the roundtable sessions have worked at these workshops as they have provided an excellent platform for group discussion and feedback.
