The Centre has also been heavily involved in qualification development with both the CIWM and the Scottish Qualification Authority in both the healthcare waste management sector and the environmental management sector.

These bespoke customized qualifications are also available on the national qualification framework to which they are fully aligned in terms of learning credits and credit levelling. These bespoke qualifications cover a range of topics from Healthcare waste treatment and transfer through environmental management systems and climate change adaptation.

The Centre, within the context and requirements of the education body quality assurance frameworks, is able to offer candidates a number of qualification delivery options from face to face sessions to hybrid learning through a blend of online sessions and face to face sessions at the workplace. It offers a range of qualification levels from entry level qualifications right through to complex and highly technical qualifications, for healthcare waste managers, at the top end of the vocational qualification scale.
