Learning Packages
Here at Toggle Learning, we specialise in building unique and engaging learning packages for children ages 3 to 11 years. We offer pupils fun, cross-curricular learning resources which bring education to life. Our resources have elements of outdoor learning, environmental awareness and explore the application of STEM subjects. All of our cross-curricular learning resources are mapped to the curriculum for excellence, and our teacher’s notes allow for easy mapping of the educational elements to the curriculum areas being covered.
We design cross-curricular educational packages that are created with a hands-on, interactive approach. The benefits of this method of learning include;
- improved engagement in the learning process
- increased knowledge retention
- provides opportunities to practice problem-solving and critical thinking
- provides opportunities to nurture a creative environment
Our cross-curricular approach allows the children to experience the different elements of the curriculum and to better understand how many of the subjects contained within the CfE are interlinked. For example, within our Eri Silkmoth Rearing Kit package, there are multiple subject areas covered, including: environmental protection, climate change, communities, food chains, healthy eating, life cycles, animal adaptation and more!
All our resources have been designed within the framework of the Curriculum for Excellence at First Level. Our extensive supporting notes allow learning objectives within the packages to be easily mapped to the requirements of the CfE. Additionally, where there are links to other awards (e.g. the John Muir Award, RSPB Wild Challenge, Eco Schools Green Flag Award), full guidance is provided to allow teachers to meet the objectives of these initiatives through delivery of our packages.
